2025 AGM & Convention
2025 Convention Program
‘Foundation’ is multifaceted, encompassing everything from the literal, structural elements of our built and natural environments, to the core values and relationships that shape one’s ethos.
Similarly, strengthening can take many forms depending on the circumstances – whether it’s through renewal and revitalization, making strategic investments, or simply pausing to reflect and reassess.
It is the Organizing Committee’s hope that the 2025 theme will provoke collective thought, discussion, and action within those attending.
Highlights of the 2025 program include:
- ‘State of the Economy’ opening address by Mike Bushore, Chief Risk & Operations Officer, Kootenay Savings Credit Union
- Exploring Foundational Relationships with First Nations and Local Governments
- Panel discussions on mental health for elected officials, respectful conduct & more
- Learn about aligning procurement process with community values
- Be inspired by Norm Van Eeden Petersman, Strong Towns, “Strong Towns: A Bottom-Up Revolution to Rebuild Prosperity”
- Be sure to stay for the closing keynote “Leading through Ambiguity” by Dr. Caroline Brookfield
